After being against the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) bids of Scandinavian countries Finland and Sweden, Erdogan has changed his mind. The change comes after both Nordic nations decided to compromise with Erdogan.

Of course...

According to reports, Sweden agreed to step up its work on Turkish extradition requests of suspected Kurdish militants (Erdogan wishes to wipe up the Kurds in a culture cleansing fashion). Both nations agreed to list their restrictions on selling weapons to Turkey (what bad could happen with an autocrat having more weapons?)

Finland, Sweden, and Turkey signed a joint memorandum "to extend their full support against threats to each other's security."

Erdogan's office said it "got what it wanted" from Finland and Sweden, who used a catastrophic event by Russian leader Vladimir Putin to push his agenda against Kurdish individuals further into the forefront.

While it's unlikely Erdogan would make a fool's error and pick up discrimination policies against the Kurds while the world is dealing with the disaster in Ukraine, it's highly likely he will move as soon as he knows push-back will be minimal.
